SHORT SURVEY -
1 - Name: Jessica.
2 - Age: 17.
3 - Location: California.
4 - What goals would you like to acheive: I'm 143 lbs. right now, and 5'6". I want to lose all my chub (mostly in my face and everywhere between the belly button and knees) and have more muscle in my back, stomach, and legs.
5 - Any tips you have that may help other people accomplish their goals: Do it with a friend so you can support each other. I've tried so many times to have a daily routine of exercising and drinking lots of water. It's always more easy and fun with a friend.
Jack In the Box has four different salads to choose from. The Chicken Caesar is my favourite. If you absolutely must get fast food and will be hungry for hours if you don't eat, get a ciabatta or something like that with veggies in it.
Drink lots of water.
When it's an option of elevator or stairs, take the stairs.
Have mini weights (2-4 pounds) at your desk at all times.
Don't just decide one day that you're going to start a diet cold turkey. You need to gather all your information and proper foods first. Don't look at a diet ad on TV and go, "Okay, I'm going to start South Beach right now!" It's way too hard that way, and you'll just beat yourself up over it.

What I ate today.

Breakfast: Ham/cheese sandwhich
Lunch: Half a Monte Cristo (Bennigans)
Dinner: Mashed potatoes, small peice of pork roast

Exercise: 50 crunches

By the way, people need to post more. It's practically dead here.

I felt like I've ate less since I've been sick, but writing it down seems like I've ate more... The shake made me feel sick to my stomach though. I wish I would get better one of these days so I can start working out again, but by sinuses won't work with me...

Starting Again, This Time For Real! [14 Mar 2005|07:37pm]

I'm going to try to start using this thing again! I think it kind of helped in the past and since I haven't been using it, things haven't changed any. So here I go again. I've decided that April is almost year and my goal of losing another 15lbs, for a total of 30 in a year wasn't going to happen and I need to get back on track. It just seems that between work and school, by the time I do have some free time, I just don't want to think about getting on a treadmill and running or getting on the bike. My feet kill me from standing at work. I am active in other ways that we don't usually think of as physical activity and burning calories. But through this I believe is why I haven't gained any weight over the last six months or so. And as summer fastly approaches, it's time to get in shape for real this time!

I am happy with the fact that I have lost 15lbs over the last year and I have been able to keep it off. So YAY for that!

Today:
Cinn. Roll
Half a ham sandwhich (didn't taste good) so I had ramen noodles for lunch
Roast, Potatos, Carrots, noodles for dinner
1 Pepsi
2 Bottles of Water
1 Hot Choc.
2 Cups of Milk

I know that's not good, but lunch kinda messed things up!
Ran 1.5 miles on the treadmill

End Of The Year Review [30 Dec 2004|10:00pm]

It seems as if no one even uses this community anymore. But I thought I'd give an update from my year of weight loss, what worked, what didn't, all that.

My goal was to lose 40 pounds this year. That didn't happen, but I did lose 16, which is better than nothing. Since I've started living on my own and not eating on campus all the time, it was easier to watch what I ate. It also helped that when I would fix a meal, I'd make just enough for me, and maybe leftovers for the next day.

I worked out a lot the first half of the year. And the second half I was too busy with work and school to go work out, that the only other thing I had time for was sleep. Even though I haven't been working out, I have still be active and getting a work out in other ways.

I feel good about my weight loss progression in 2004. I was able to get reid of what I put on last year.

I haven't been working out this week because, well I just haven't had the time! Now I remember what it's like to work all the damn time and still go to school. But I sure the hell feel like I've been working out, lifting 100's of pounds... I am sore as hell! I'll be suprised if I can get out of bed by this weekend. That might be where I stay on Saturday.

I don't know though, my clothes kinda feel a little looser, but the scales aren't changing. Maybe a pound a week, which is better than nothing and the healthy way. My jeans are all way to big in the waist, but if I go a size smaller they don't fit over my thunder thighs.
